Create a standalone bibliography

In EndNote 21: Mark one or several references in your library and click the Copy button. Make sure you use the wanted output style. This operation copies the full reference of the reference(s) you have marked and you can now paste this into a Word document or an email.

Using footnotes in EndNote

Use Word to create a footnote:

1. In the Word menu, select References/ Insert Footnote:

2. Place the cursor in the footnote

3. Go to the EndNote tab and insert the reference into the footnote by using the EndNote Insert Citation button.

If you use APA7th, EndNote will insert the complete reference into the footnote and also create a bibliography at the end of your document. If you prefer only a citation, for example (Bell, 2006), in the footnote, use the output style APA6th. The library can help you with modifying the output style if needed.
