How to change case on one or more references

In EndNote it's possible to change the case of a given field, for example the title field if the field is filled with uppercase only. You can do this on one or more references.

1. Mark the reference(s) you want to change
2. Go to Library -> Change/Move/Copy fields
3. Go to the tab: Change fields
3. Change Case: Specify the changes and in which field: Select Title field and change case to either Sentence case, lowercase, UPPERCASE, Capitalize Each Word, tOGGLE cASE, Headline Case

Add keyword to one or more references

Sometimes it can be useful to add information to many references at the same time. In this example we will demonstrate how you can add a specific Keyword to a set of references.

1. Mark the references/group where you want to add a Keyword
2. Go to Library -> Change/Move/Copy Fields
3. Go to the tab Change Fields
4. In: Choose what you want to change, in this example keyword
5. Change: Choose what you want to do with the field, i.e. if there is information in the field alreaydy you can choose to clear the field.
6. Type in your Keyword
7. Click Ok

Move and copy fields

In somer cases it might be useful to move or copy certain fields in a reference to another field. This can be easily done by using the Move/Copy functionality.

1. Mark the reference(s) you want to work with
2. Go to Library -> Change/Move/Copy Fields
3.  Go to the tab Move/Copy Fields
4. Choose either Move Field or Copy Field
5. Choose the From: and To: fields
