Before you start working on an article or book you should take a look at the "Instructions to authors" from the publisher. Every publisher should have information on the criteria for citations and references. How to install output styles
If the referencing style you need to use is not available in EndNote or from the additional EndNote Output Styles website, you can create a style that matches your criteria by creating a new style or editing an existing one.
