The Library's Pool of Resources for PhD Candidates

Introduction

Ongoing

Text mining (or digital text analysis) is the process of using digital tools to search for, extract and analyse text data. Text mining techniques may provide insight into patterns and tendencies in large volumes of text that would be difficult and time-consuming to achieve using conventional qualitative methods.

Text mining deals with unstrctured text data, whereas data mining is the process of identifying patterns in large data sets.
